What is Life Coaching?

I advocate a form of Life Coaching that lets you be the expert on your life. I believe you are the creator of your own life and have the resources you need to make a change. A lot of times, we do not see these inner resources and this is something I will help you to discover during our sessions.

In Life Coaching there are no wrong answers instead it is about becoming aware of why this is a problem for you and set the ball rolling by taking small steps towards what you want. Are you ready to release your full potential that sits within you?

Life is a possibility, not a duty. Be true to yourself and live life to its fullest!

Most of the time we are scared of change because we feel comfortable where we are right now, even though it is not a good place to be. The first thing to do is to accept where you are right now, and then take small steps towards where you want to be. Your choices and actions leads to your freedom. If you are not happy with who you are or what you’re doing right now, simply make new choices.

Accept yourself where you are right now, only then you can change yourself!

Life Coaching is about personal development and getting to know yourself. By identifying your strengths and areas where to grow you open up to your inner resources and you become more focused, goal oriented and take appropriate actions to reach your dreams.

Your will power is the driving force in your change and critical to your success. You can do so much better than you think, you only have to believe and take the first step!

Life Coaching:

  • builds on today’s current situation and focuses on the future
  • focuses on what you want, your goals, and how to achieve them
  • gives you the tools necessary to move forward
  • helps you find the best action steps
  • makes you see yourself and your reality from new perspectives
  • helps you gain access to your resources
  • challenges your limiting beliefs and barriers
  • stimulates new thought patterns
  • gives you energy, focus and structure

Life Coaching is not:

  • Therapy →  Life coaching does not focus on the past but on the now and the future
  • Counseling → The client finds the answers within

What happens during a Life Coaching session?

I advocate a form of Life Coaching that lets you be the expert on your life. I believe you are the creator of your own life and have the resources you need to make a change. A lot of times, we do not see these inner resources and this is something I will help you to discover during our sessions.

At each session, you decide on the topic to be discussed while I as the Coach listen, observe and ask you questions regarding the topic. This interaction creates clarity, gives insights and helps you make appropriate decisions and act accordingly. We focus on where you are right now in your life and what you are willing to do to get to where you want to be in the future.

Life Coaching helps you move forward in life by providing greater focus and clearer awareness of your choices and possibilities. Together we set up the goals you want to achieve and we go through what is needed of you to move forward to these goals. Your will to change is the driving force and crucial for your success.

One session takes one hour and you don’t have to prepare anything for the meeting. However, if there is something specific you want to focus on during the session you can write it down or bring that thought with you. Keeping paper and a pen handy during the meeting is good as you might want to write down certain thoughts and insights. The coaching sessions are done face to face, by phone or by Skype.

I follow ICF’s (International Coach Federations) Ethics and Regulations as a Life Coach and our sessions are fully confidential.
